At first I thought this book was going to be a copy of other children's stories (a house at the edge of a forest full of magical creatures that no one knows about), but once I got into the book it was original. The story was fun and well paced, and the characters were likable.

Description:
After the death of their parents, Samuel and Martha Blink are sent to live in Norway with their Aunt Eda. Aunt Eda's house is on the boundary of Shadow Forest, a dangerous forest inhabited by mythical beings. Against their aunts wishes, Samuel and Martha enter the forest and immediately run into danger. Martha becomes a prisoner of the Changemaker and it is up to Samuel to save her. But can Samuel survive the forest and be the first human to ever escape alive?
