This book was based on The Odyssey. And although I like mythology this retelling was a little bit too weird. It was long in place where it shouldn't be long and short in places that could have used more explanation. The end of the story also wasn't satisfying.

Description:
After a near fatal accident Jack Perdu discovers that he can see ghosts. On a quest to find his dead mother Jack befriends a ghost named Euri who leads him into the New York Underworld. Jack has three days to track down his mother before he risks turning into a ghost himself.
